We wanted to reimagine a section of the Orcas Island Public Library garden to create a beautiful, tranquil spot for reading, relaxing, and playing that reflects the spirit of our community.

So, the Orcas Island Garden Club adopted a garden with a children’s xylophone surrounded by lavender and irises.
What we did:

• Removed weeds and runaway plants
  
• Created a new raised bed and planted perennials
  
• Added new flowering plants
• Added an entrance trellis and wood chips
